Description
The iDAS384S is one of the iDAS series of vehicle-mounted infrared modules developed by Global Sensor Technology (GST). It integrates a 384×288/17μm uncooled LWIR detector and enhances the driver’s vision in harsh conditions such as total darkness, rain, snow, fog and dust.
With the iDAS384S automotive thermal camera, drivers can see a clear image up to 300 meters ahead, beyond the reach of the vehicle’s headlights, and gain a wider field of view to avoid obstacles and identify targets more effectively. Its intelligent alarm, built on extensive model training and a proven set of AI algorithms, recognizes pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles and issues warnings in advance.
This vehicle-mounted thermal camera also effectively removes glare from the high beams of oncoming vehicles, improving the driver’s awareness of the surroundings and visibility in darkness or bad weather, which helps protect drivers, passengers, pedestrians and vehicles.
