Turing L256 Uncooled Infrared Module (Imaging)

The Turing L256 Imaging module is a low-power 256×192 uncooled LWIR module optimised for compact imaging systems, wearable thermal devices, and energy-constrained embedded platforms.

Description

Turing L256 Uncooled Infrared Module (Imaging)

The Turing L256 Imaging module from the power-efficient L series delivers 256×192 resolution LWIR thermal imaging in an ultra-compact, energy-optimised package. It is designed for developers building next-generation wearable thermal devices, IoT thermal sensing nodes, and portable imaging tools where size and power consumption are primary constraints.

Despite its compact footprint, the L256 delivers clear and usable thermal imagery suitable for basic thermal scene awareness, human detection, and thermal navigation in GPS-denied environments. Its low power draw enables extended battery life in mobile or unattended deployments.

Key Features

  • 256×192 uncooled LWIR detector
  • Ultra-low power consumption for mobile and IoT applications
  • Compact module for wearable and miniaturised systems
  • Reliable thermal scene imaging without active cooling
  • Extended battery life in portable deployments

Applications

Wearable thermal vision, IoT thermal sensing, personal protection equipment, small drone payloads, and low-power embedded thermal systems.

Features

Turing L256 uncooled infrared module is equipped with an advanced 256×192 wafer detector with a dimension of 18×18mm. Thanks to its integrated design, it redefines standards in weight, dimension and power consumption (SWaP³) in the OEM module industry, providing excellent miniaturized solutions for consumer products.

Compatibility Design

  • Its resolution is 256×192 and dimension is 18mm×18mm, which are consistent with those of the L384 mechanical interface for compatibility design.

Excellent Performance

  • 50Hz imaging to provide a smooth image experience.

Multiple Selections

  • The FOV is 20°~90° and the extension supports multiple interfaces such as DVP/USB/Analog video.
